Inspiring Women – Nadia Krauss
Welcome to the Inspiring Women Series! My intention behind this series is for women of all backgrounds and stages of life to share what makes them love their life. My hope is that, through sharing this, you become inspired to live more of a life that you love. If you are interested in being featured in this series please send me an inquiry at danielle@danielleyeager.com and I will send you more information. I am incredibly excited about this series because I see so many women floating through life not feeling engaged, happy, or loving life. I want everyone to love the life they are living and live to the fullest!
The inspiring woman being featured this month is the wonderful Nadia Krauss, here is her story:
Tell us how you are living a life you love?
Almost 5 years ago on the Christmas morning of 2010 my husband and I had the coldest, most heartless confrontation that we had ever experienced in our 14 year marriage. Unhappiness, lack of forgiving, holding grudges, subconscious blaming and finger pointing, had left their excruciating toll. On this Christmas Morning we experienced a full out ego power struggle. My husband told me that he just wasn’t sure if I would ever make it as the ‘scattered dreamer’ (self employed visionary) and that he was frankly sick and tired of ‘waiting for me’ to make money. I told him that I was sick and tired of him not taking responsibility for his happiness but choosing to blame me instead.
And just when I thought : This is it! We are DONE! My husband surprised me with these words: “Nadia, we can choose to be done or we can choose to follow love and where it takes us!”
At that moment my whole body relaxed and I just felt it go pffff…. All the ego fight in me left my body and I heard myself say: “Then please Eric, I beg you, figure out what you would need to make YOU happy! And stop blaming me! Voice your needs and I will follow through with you.”
So having said that, it took another 2 months until he knew the answer. On the 23rd February of 2011 he presented me with his idea: “Let’s just sell everything we own and go work and live on a cruise ship! ”
And so we did.
What hurdles came up on your way to getting there?
The hurdles that came up for us to begin choosing happiness and following love were varied in challenge and intensity.
We first had to be hired by a cruise ship line separately. Applying as a married couple only works for dancers, entertainers, and doctors taking their wives or husbands with them. Since we did not fall into any of those categories we had to come up with a different plan. I got hired as Sports Staff in June of 2011, due to my fitness and rock climbing background. Eric got hired as a bartender in August after graduating from a 4 week bartending course in London.
All in all it took us 8 months to make our decision come true.
What has been the biggest help in living a life you love?
The biggest help in embracing our adventure and our love was LOVE itself.
To be able to manifest a life we both loved we needed to choose to follow the voice of love (soul) before we paid the voice of fear any attention (ego). So, the biggest help has been love itself.
What is the best lesson you have learned along your journey?
That love indeed prevails! And that believing in yourself and your dreams will pay off big time. We woke up to this truth and life when ‘our true love’ was about to die.
What would you say to someone who feels like living a life they love is impossible?
I would say that knowing about the law of attraction and the transformative power of gratitude really, really helps. Learn as much as you can about it! Read books! It truly is what manifested our royal adventure and our successful move from Germany to the states, as well as being proud homeowners in Georgia 5 years later.
How are you continuing to ensure you love your life every day?
Every day I practice what I call ‘Sacred Self Care’. I take care of my spiritual body, my mental body, my emotional body, and my physical body, with the aim to continuously raise my vibration. So that via the law of attraction I become the vibrational match to my dreams and soul desires. Manifesting the life I love with ease, grace, love, and life’s magic on a daily basis. I also practice expressing gratitude every single day. No exceptions.
